Earthquake death toll in Aceh 2 People, 160 Scorched Stores

Jakarta - The death toll was an earthquake 6.7 on the Richter Scale (SR) in Aceh increased to 2 people. This earthquake also create an electrical current shorting that makes the fire and sear 160 stores.

Such information is conveyed and the Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) received by AFP on Tuesday (06/09/2011).

The death toll: 2 people died, one person slightly injured
Material losses: a place of worship, a midwifery academy building and 3 houses were severely damaged, 15 homes minor damage, as well as 160 stores due to short-circuit fire (shorted).

Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Aceh continues to coordinate and perform data collection.

Based on information from the website of the Meteorology and Geophysics (BMKG), the magnitude 6.7 quake occurred at 00:55 GMT, Tuesday (06/09/2011). Coordinates of the earthquake was in LU 2.81 - 97.85 BT.

Epicenter was 59 km north-east Singkilbaru-Aceh. Or 78 miles Southwest Kabanjahe, North Sumatra. The epicenter was at a depth of 78 km. This earthquake is not a potential tsunami.
